How COD helped him get there?

Robert enlisted in the military after high school in 2004. Upon transitioning back to civilian life, he became a certified barber and started a mobile barber shop. His goal was to provide convenient, compassionate barber services to children on the spectrum. 

 

To better reach his target audience, Robert decided to use his GI benefits to enroll in College of the Desert’s Digital Design and Production program. He would then use his new skills to improve his marketing efforts. Thanks to the help of Trios Veteran Services and the Veterans Resource Center, Robert has had a laptop for his studies and support and accountability to help him work towards a graduation date of spring 2026.
